Your application for bankruptcy must be filed at the High Court by lodging a document called a petition, this document sets out the nature of your debts, which will also includes your declaration in which you will attend and advertise the court hearing, and pay any fees or expenses of the Official Assignee that the court tells you to. You will also swear a statement of affairs which lists in detail any property, cash and items of value you own, also a list of people you owe money to.
